Create a One-Time Payment

The One-Time Payments feature in Subsbase simplifies billing for one-time, non-recurring purchases. It’s perfect for immediate transactions or situations where no subscription plan applies. You can easily create payment links, manage their profiles, and customize details such as line items, tax settings, localization, and currency preferences to suit your needs.

1. Create a One-Time Payment Link

  1. Access the One-Time Payments Page
    Navigate to the One-Time Payments page in the Admin Portal.
  2. Click "Create One-Time Payment"
    • Fill in the Basic Info section:
      • Name: Identify the charge internally.
      • Code: Auto-generated unique identifier; can be modified during setup.
      • Currency: Specify the currency for the charge.
      • Comments: Add optional notes about the charge.
      • Info Fields: Include required fields like Name and Email or add more as needed.
    • Configure the Line Items:
      • Provide an Item Name and Description for the charge.
      • Select a Pricing Model and set the Price.
      • Add optional Discounts or Extra Fees.
  3. Save and Share
    After saving, share the generated payment link with your customers.

2. Manage One-Time Payment Profiles

  1. Access the Profile: Open the One-Time Payment Profile to configure additional details.
  2. Tabs in the Profile:
    • Line Items: View and update item details.
    • Info Fields: Add or adjust customer information fields.
    • Tax Settings: Configure taxes, either via integration with tax authorities or custom tax profiles.
    • Basic Info: Edit descriptive content using Narrative Templates.
    • Currency Settings: Adjust conversion rates if needed.

3. On-Session Payment Flow

  • During checkout, the customer provides payment details for one-time use.
  • Payment information is processed securely without being stored or tokenized.
  • An invoice is generated after successful authorization.
  • A customer profile is created for first-time users of the link.

Once the one-time payment link is created, you can access the One-Time Payment Profile to further configure and refine its details. The One-Time Payment Profile provides a comprehensive view, allowing you to navigate through different tabs such as line items, info fields, tax settings, currency settings, and more.
